I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix ! s1 s6 s! ~$ O, K! n# _. B4 d; i( ?4 W6 k' T# l! _& ^
